Implants

Implant dentistry has become an established and integral part of modern dentistry. Implants can be a good solution to replace missing single teeth or to support a full lower denture.

Implant supported tooth replacement is also used as an alternative to a bridge and is a sophisticated medical prosthesis retained for life. It has better longevity and is more aesthetic than a conventional bridge and is a far superior treatment option in carefully selected, suitable cases, where one or more teeth may be missing.

Teeth whitening

The popularity of teeth whitening is rapidly increasing. We use evidence based studies and scientifically valid research to help patients use the fastest and safest way to whiten teeth.

Crowns and veneers

When a tooth is fractured, has a large old filling or is severely damaged by decay we may recommend the placement of a crown. Crowns strengthen and protect the remaining tooth structure from fracture and can improve the appearance of your smile. They may be full porcelain or porcelain fused to metal.

Another option may be to place a thin layer of restorative material over a tooth surface known as a veneer which can be made of porcelain or bonded composite.

Porcelain veneers are the most conservative aesthetic restorations available in dentistry today. A thin layer of the front of the tooth is removed to allow a veneer of porcelain to be bonded to the tooth without making it any thicker.

Similar, in a way, to a false fingernail, the veneer covers dark or yellow teeth, fills unsightly gaps, lengthens short or stubby teeth, straightens crooked teeth and creates a more attractive smile. Unlike a false fingernail, veneers are more permanent and are attached to the teeth using advanced methods.

Bonded composite veneers are made of a plastic material which can be moulded and shaped to achieve outstanding results including:

When polished, bonded composite veneers give the appearance of natural tooth structure. Bonding involves placing tooth coloured composite material onto the tooth. The advantage of bonding is that it is inexpensive and an ultra-conservative way to restore a tooth.
